UNICORN BOOK AND TABLET STAND CROCHET PATTERN contains very detailed written description as well as a photo tutorial on how to make a body for a book/tablet holder (TYPE A) as well as how to make and attach 4 types of eyes, ears, horn, hair and nose for the unicorn. The Unicorn parts can be attached to my book holders but they will also be ideal for hooded cowls, hooded blankets, hats, etc. Add on crochet pattern has 9 pages and the body tablet stand crochet pattern 7 pages.

Due to using super bulky yarn this book holder works up very quickly around 10-20 hours depending on your skill level.

These crochet patterns were inspired by my son. He’s not too keen on reading and I tried to encourage him somehow and make reading more fun. Towards the evening he was also complaining that he was too tired to hold the book so I came up with the idea of making him something to prop his book on and that’s how the crochet book and tablet pillow series came about (new designs coming soon). This crochet holder is also ideal for resting tablets, kindles, etc.

This crochet book/tablet holder is not only a fun toy but also a very useful learning tool. After I’ve created this crochet book stand I’ve found out that presenting reading or math material in a vertical format is conducive to better learning. That’s because the mind can process in a more natural manner of looking forward rather than looking downward.
